Bambu \u00e4r en av de snabbast v\u00e4xande v\u00e4xterna i v\u00e4rlden (vissa arter kan v\u00e4xa upp till 4 cm per timme).<\/p>\n<p>Odlad bambu stabiliserar jorden med sina r\u00f6tter och f\u00f6rhindrar erosion. Den absorberar v\u00e4xthusgaser och producerar mer \u00e4n 35% mer syre \u00e4n ett motsvarande tr\u00e4dbest\u00e5nd. Till skillnad fr\u00e5n vanlig plast, som tillverkas av olja och gas, vilket i slutet av dess livscykel inneb\u00e4r ett ytterligare tillskott av CO2 till atmosf\u00e4ren.<\/p>\n<p>Om m\u00f6jligt \u00e4r dock naturens egna material som kork, h\u00e5llbara tr\u00e4slag etc. ett mer h\u00e5llbart alternativ.<\/p>\n<p>Bioplaster \u00e4r biologiskt nedbrytbara och, under idealiska f\u00f6rh\u00e5llanden, komposterbara. Bioplaster \u00e4r l\u00e4mpliga f\u00f6r livsmedel.<\/p>\n<p>Bioplaster \u00e4r inte \u00e5tervinningsbara, s\u00e5 det \u00e4r viktigt att de skickas till f\u00f6rbr\u00e4nning, vilket ocks\u00e5 \u00e4r normen i Danmark. Plast har en extremt h\u00f6g kolhalt, s\u00e5 \u00e5tervunnen plast fungerar som en kols\u00e4nka. Om plast inte \u00e5tervinns kommer den antingen att brytas ned till CO2, vilket bidrar till v\u00e4xthuseffekten, eller hamna som f\u00f6rorenande avfall. Plastic Oceans Foundation uppskattar att \u00f6ver 8 miljoner ton plast hamnar i v\u00e4rldshaven varje \u00e5r.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6r varje ton \u00e5tervunnen plast sparas 3,8 fat olja.<br \/>\nI Danmark \u00e5tervinns den mesta plasten. F\u00f6rutom de milj\u00f6- och klimatm\u00e4ssiga f\u00f6rdelarna med ekologisk bomull kan dess mjukhet, allergiv\u00e4nlighet och h\u00f6ga absorptionsf\u00f6rm\u00e5ga framh\u00e5llas. Textilier m\u00e4rkta med GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) \u00e4r den internationella standarden f\u00f6r ekologiskt producerad bomull och garanterar socialt ansvarstagande i arbetsprocessen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c5tervunnen bomull \u00e4r mindre klimatp\u00e5verkande \u00e4n konventionell\/ekologisk bomull, den \u00e4r utm\u00e4rkt f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rl\u00e4nga bomullsprodukters livsl\u00e4ngd och fungerar d\u00e4rmed som en CO2-lagring f\u00f6r redan producerad bomull.<\/p>\n<p>Konventionell bomull \u00e4r ett utm\u00e4rkt och relativt h\u00e5llbart val j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med syntetiska textilier som polyester och akryl, men inte det sj\u00e4lvklara h\u00e5llbara valet j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med ekologisk eller \u00e5tervunnen bomull.<\/p>\n<p>Fairtrade- och GOTS-m\u00e4rkta produkter tillverkade av b\u00e5de konventionell och ekologisk bomull visar att produktionsprocessen s\u00e4kerst\u00e4ller r\u00e4ttvisa l\u00f6ner och anst\u00e4ndiga arbetsvillkor f\u00f6r plantage- och fabriksarbetare i v\u00e4rldens fattigaste l\u00e4nder.<\/p>\n<p>Vi str\u00e4var alltid efter att erbjuda v\u00e5ra kunder ett milj\u00f6v\u00e4nligt och socialt ansvarsfullt urval av produkter.
